Djarot to Hold Silaturahmi in Several Mosques During Maulid Nabi

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, is about to utilize the Maulid Nabi (Prophet's Muhammad Birthday) commemoration, which is by conducting silaturahmi (communal togetherness) in several mosques.

We will be more anticipation. Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama will represent us for Christmas. And we and other Muslims will do silaturahmi in several mosques for takbir (mass prayer)

According to him, the silaturahmi aims to anticipate conflict threat among religious people as Maulid Nabi also coincides with Christmas.

Security in Celebration Locations of Maulid and Christmas Intensified

“We will be more anticipation. Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama will represent us for Christmas. And we and other Muslims will do silaturahmi in several mosques for takbir (mass prayer),” he expressed, Monday (12/21).

On the other hand, he added, as much as 18,000 police officers have been prepared to secure and smoothen the Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations. Securing also gets assistance from Satpol PP, Transportation Department, and Health Department.

“It’s about 4,000-5,000 personnel to be alerted, including fire truck and ambulance,” he closed.
